From acrylic paint on canvas to digital art on a computer screen
I have been experimenting with different materials and colors for years. I find it fascinating how strong and bright colors can create a specific atmosphere. Think of the colors you choose for your clothing, a vibrant painting that brightens up your living room, or a striking wall color that brings a business space to life.
The Power of Colors
Colors have a much greater influence on our emotions and experience than we often realize. Personally, I never thought that I would ever edit my modern art paintings with the software program Adobe Photoshop CC. Yet this program, with its extensive functions such as deformation, bleeding, folding and swelling, has acquired an essential role in my contemporary art. Working with this digital art software offers endless possibilities, but it remains an exciting challenge to choose exactly the right color combinations that really come to life.
A Meaningful Contribution
From an early age I was fascinated by colorful, cheerful paintings that sometimes hung above the sofa or in the dining area of friends. Yet as a child I often chose to play football outside with school friends, instead of drawing or painting at home. But modern art and the energies of nature have always appealed to me. As you get older, your interests and priorities change. I discovered that creative and artistic activities bring about a special peace in me. I am very sensitive to atmosphere and attached to peace and harmony. At the same time, I try to create a lively dynamic and a unique atmosphere in my artwork through the play with different colors. Some colors contrast, while others are beautifully balanced. Red and orange radiate energy and vibrancy, while shades of blue convey a sense of tranquility.
It gives me great satisfaction to contribute to the atmosphere in your private space or workplace with a work of art on aluminum or wood (or another material). A work of art that you can admire every day and that adds meaning to your environment.
A new technique to bring art to life
For my work, I started looking for a printing technique that would express my digital art at its best. Through my network I came into contact with the company Bestecanvas.nl, among others. The great thing about digital art is that I can now easily offer my works in different, large formats.
